The specified module could not be found

What it means

A program asked Windows to load a DLL that is not on the PC or not next to the program, so the launch failed.

Common causes

• A missing runtime (Visual C++, .NET)
• A DLL that an installer forgot to copy
• A broken PATH entry or a moved folder

How to fix it

1. Install the newest Visual C++ Redistributable (x64 and x86) and the .NET runtime the app asks for.
2. Verify the game files or reinstall the program.
3. If you moved the program folder, put it back or reinstall; do not copy individual DLLs from the internet.
4. Open Terminal (Admin) and run sfc /scannow, then DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Restart afterwards.
