Cannot connect to the server

What it means

Windows could not open a connection to a Microsoft service.

Common causes

• Proxy or firewall
• Wrong date and time
• DNS problem

How to fix it

1. Set date and time automatically.
2. Turn off any manual proxy.
3. Flush DNS: run ipconfig /flushdns in Terminal, then reload the page.
4. Run netsh winsock reset and restart.
