What it means

The Store offered an app that requires a newer build than this PC runs, so the install is refused.

Common causes

• An older Windows build that is no longer supported by the app
• A PC held back by update policies
• A region or device type the app does not support

How to fix it

1. Check winver and install the pending feature update, then try again.
2. If the PC cannot be updated, look for an older version of the app or a web alternative.
3. On a managed PC, ask IT whether the device is intentionally held on an older build.
