Error while removing the app

What it means

Windows could not unregister the app package, usually because files are still in use or the package registration is damaged.

Common causes

• The app or its background task is still running
• A damaged package registration
• Another user is signed in with the app open

How to fix it

1. Close the app, sign out other users and restart the PC.
2. Remove it again from Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
3. If it still fails, run Get-AppxPackage *name* | Remove-AppxPackage in PowerShell; replace name with the app's package name.
