What it means
Windows could not find the files to add a feature, very often .NET Framework 3.5.
Common causes
- The feature has to be downloaded and Windows Update is blocked
- A damaged component store
How to fix it
- Turn the feature on through Windows Update: Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off.
- Run
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. - Use the Windows ISO as a source: mount it and run
DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /Source:D:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess(D: is the mounted drive).
