What it means
Setup checked the installed drivers, found one that is not compatible with the new build and stopped the upgrade.
Common causes
- An old graphics or network driver
- A vendor utility that installs its own filter driver
- A virtual machine or VPN driver
How to fix it
- Update the driver the compatibility window names, or uninstall the program that installed it.
- Remove virtual adapters (VPN, VirtualBox, VMware) before starting the upgrade.
- Run setup again from within Windows so it can refresh its compatibility check.
