There were some problems installing updates

What it means

A general download or install failure from Windows Update.

Common causes

• Interrupted download
• Damaged update cache

How to fix it

1. Restart and click Retry.
2. Run the Windows Update troubleshooter: Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Windows Update.
3. Reset the update cache: in Terminal (Admin) run net stop wuauserv, net stop bits, rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution.old, then net start wuauserv and net start bits.
