There is not enough memory to create the boot RAM disk
What it means
Windows wanted to unpack its recovery environment into memory and could not get enough of it, so the repair tools never started.
Common causes
- A memory fault that hides usable RAM
- A recovery partition that is too small or full
- A very large WinRE image after several upgrades
How to fix it
- Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic from the boot menu and check for errors.
- Free space on the recovery partition, or disable and re-enable WinRE with
reagentc /disableandreagentc /enable. - If you use a third-party boot menu, remove it for a test.
