What it means

A program needs a runtime that is not installed, often .NET Framework or .NET Desktop Runtime.

Common causes

• Missing .NET runtime
• Missing Visual C++ runtime

How to fix it

1. Install the .NET Desktop Runtime the app asks for from dotnet.microsoft.com.
2. Turn on .NET Framework 3.5 under Windows features for older apps.
3. Install the Visual C++ Redistributables.
