Entry point not found

What it means

The program expects a function in a DLL that the installed version of that DLL does not have, so it cannot start.

Common causes

• An old Visual C++ Redistributable
• A game folder with a mismatched DLL
• A leftover DLL from another program on the PATH

How to fix it

1. Install the newest Visual C++ Redistributable, both x64 and x86.
2. Verify the game or reinstall the app so its own DLLs match.
3. Look for a DLL with the same name in the game folder that should come from Windows and rename it for a test.
4. Open Terminal (Admin) and run sfc /scannow, then DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Restart afterwards.
