What it means
Windows tried to activate through a company KMS server and could not reach it.
Common causes
- A work PC away from the company network
- A product key meant for volume licensing
How to fix it
- Connect to the company network or VPN and run
slmgr /ato. - If this is your own PC, enter your own key in Settings > System > Activation.
