What it means

Common causes
- AppLocker policy on a work or school PC
- A folder the policy does not allow
- A file marked as blocked from the internet
How to fix it
- On a work PC, ask IT; the policy is deliberate and local overrides usually fail.
- Right-click the file > Properties and tick Unblock if the file came from the internet.
- Install the program under Program Files rather than running it from Downloads or Temp.
- On a home PC, check
secpol.msc> Application Control Policies only if you set it up yourself.
