AMI BIOS beep: video error
What it means
On AMI BIOS boards this pattern means the video card failed its check. Other BIOS makers use different patterns.
Common causes
- GPU not seated or without power
- Monitor cable in the wrong port
- Faulty GPU
How to fix it
- Reseat the GPU and check every PCIe power cable.
- Move the monitor cable to the GPU and test another cable.
- Remove the GPU and test with integrated graphics if the CPU has it.
- Check the board manual for the exact beep table; it differs between AMI, Award and Phoenix.
