CACHE_MANAGER
What it means
The file system cache ran into an error, often because memory ran out or a drive misbehaved.
Common causes
- Too little memory and no page file
- Disk errors
How to fix it
- Make sure Windows manages the page file automatically (System > About > Advanced system settings > Performance > Advanced > Virtual memory).
- Run
chkdsk C: /scan. - Test the RAM: run Windows Memory Diagnostic (search
mdsched) or MemTest86 from a USB stick. Any error means a stick or its speed setting is the problem.
