Can't connect to this network
Wi-Fi refuses to connect
What it means
Windows found the Wi-Fi network but could not join it.
Common causes
- Saved password or settings changed
- Driver problem
- Router band or security mode
How to fix it
- Forget the network (Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks) and join it again.
- Update the Wi-Fi driver from the laptop or adapter maker.
- Restart the router and modem: power off for 30 seconds, then on again.
- Run Network reset if nothing else helps.
