What it means
The driver is not signed in a way Windows accepts, so it will not load.
Common causes
- An old or unofficial driver
- A tampered driver
How to fix it
- Get the current signed driver from the maker's site.
- Avoid turning off driver signature checks for good: it weakens Windows' protection.
