What it means
A service Windows needs to boot failed to start, often right after a driver or update install.
Common causes
- A new driver that fails at boot
- A failed update
How to fix it
- Open Recovery > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings and pick "Disable driver signature enforcement" (7) once to get in.
- Uninstall the driver or update you added last.
- Use System Restore if it does not help.
