DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

What it means

A driver did not handle sleep, wake or a power change properly.

Common causes

• Wi-Fi, graphics or USB drivers
• Fast Startup
• Old chipset drivers

How to fix it

1. Update the graphics, chipset and network drivers from the maker's site (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel or your board vendor), not from a driver-updater tool.
2. Turn off Fast Startup: Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
3. In Device Manager, open the network adapter > Power Management and untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device".
