ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
The certificate belongs to another name
What it means
The certificate is valid, but it was issued for a different host name than the one you opened.
Common causes
- Wrong subdomain or a typo
- A captive portal intercepting the request
- A proxy or hosts file pointing the name elsewhere
How to fix it
- Check the address bar for a typo or the wrong subdomain.
- On public Wi-Fi, sign in to the captive portal first.
- Remove hosts-file entries and proxy settings that redirect the domain.
- If it is your site, issue a certificate that includes that host name.
