What it means
The server promised a file of a certain size and sent less, so the browser discarded the incomplete response.
Common causes
- The connection dropped mid-download
- A proxy or antivirus truncated the response
- The server closed early under load
How to fix it
- Retry the download; small drops often fix themselves.
- Pause the VPN, proxy and antivirus scan for large downloads.
- Clear the browser cache for that site and download again.
- If it is a big file, use a download manager that can resume.
