ERR_TIMED_OUT

The connection timed out

What it means

The browser sent the request and waited, but the server or a device in between never answered.

Common causes

• Site overloaded or down
• Firewall silently dropping packets
• Wrong proxy or VPN route

How to fix it

1. Reload once and try another site. If only this one fails, it is probably the site.
2. Turn the VPN and proxy off, then test again.
3. Run ping and tracert to the site to see where the delay starts.
4. If other devices on the same network work, restart the browser's network stack with netsh winsock reset.
