What it means
The address is longer than the server accepts, usually because a search or filter put too much data in the query string.
Common causes
- A huge search query or filter state in the URL
- An old form sending everything with GET
How to fix it
- Shorten the search or remove filters, then search again.
- Use the site's own navigation instead of a copied long link.
- If it is your site, move long parameters into a POST body.
