INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR

What it means

The power manager hit a fatal error, often while going to sleep or hibernating.

Common causes

• Hibernation file too small or damaged
• Graphics or chipset drivers

How to fix it

1. Turn hibernation off and on again: powercfg /h off then powercfg /h on in Terminal (Admin).
2. Update the graphics, chipset and network drivers from the maker's site (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel or your board vendor), not from a driver-updater tool.
3. Turn off Fast Startup in Power Options.
