What it means

A driver grabbed a lock at the wrong moment. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers cause it most often.

Common causes

• Wi-Fi or Bluetooth drivers
• VPN network drivers

How to fix it

1. Update the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers from the laptop or adapter maker.
2. Uninstall VPN software you do not use.
3. Open the crash dump in WhoCrashed or BlueScreenView: it usually names the driver file that caused it (for example nvlddmkm.sys is the NVIDIA driver).
