KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION
What it means
A driver damaged the kernel's memory heap.
Common causes
- Graphics or audio drivers
- Anti-cheat software
How to fix it
- Open the crash dump in WhoCrashed or BlueScreenView: it usually names the driver file that caused it (for example
nvlddmkm.sysis the NVIDIA driver). - Do a clean graphics driver install with DDU.
- Update the graphics, chipset and network drivers from the maker's site (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel or your board vendor), not from a driver-updater tool.
- Open Terminal (Admin) and run
sfc /scannow, thenDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Restart afterwards.
