What it means

Windows hit an error while reading or writing the NTFS file system on a drive.

Common causes

• File system errors
• A failing drive or loose cable

How to fix it

1. Back up important files first.
2. Run chkdsk C: /f and let it run at the next restart.
3. Check the drive's health in CrystalDiskInfo. "Caution" or "Bad" means replace it soon.
