OneDrive cannot connect

What it means

OneDrive could not reach its service, so files stay unsynced and the icon shows a warning.

Common causes

• TLS or proxy settings blocking the service
• A VPN or firewall
• A broken OneDrive install

How to fix it

1. Check the connection and turn off the VPN or proxy.
2. Make sure TLS 1.2 is enabled in Internet Options > Advanced.
3. Reset OneDrive: run %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset.
4. Install the current OneDrive version if the reset does not help.
