The server could not be found

What it means

Outlook could not resolve the mail server name, so it never reached the provider.

Common causes

• Wrong server name
• DNS problem
• Worked offline or on a VPN with split DNS

How to fix it

1. Check the server name in the account settings character by character.
2. Flush DNS: run ipconfig /flushdns in Terminal, then reload the page.
3. Turn off Work Offline in the Send/Receive tab.
4. Try another DNS or network, then test webmail.
