Print jobs stuck
The queue does not move
What it means
Jobs sit at "printing" or "deleting" because one job crashed the spooler or points at an offline port.
Common causes
- A corrupt print job at the head of the queue
- The port points at an old IP
- The spooler keeps restarting
How to fix it
- Cancel all jobs in the queue and wait a minute.
- Restart the print spooler: in Terminal (Admin) run
net stop spooler, delete the files inC:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS, thennet start spooler. - Check the printer port in Printer properties > Ports and update it to the printer's current IP.
- Print a test page from the printer's own menu to separate printer from Windows.
