What it means
A shared network printer was refused after a Windows security update tightened printer connections.
Common causes
- Print server and client on different update levels
How to fix it
- Install all updates on both the PC that shares the printer and this PC.
- Add the printer by its IP address instead of through the share (Add device > Add manually > TCP/IP).
- Install the printer maker's current driver.
