The app you're trying to install isn't a Microsoft-verified app
What it means
Windows is set to install apps from the Store only, so it blocks anything else you download from the web.
Common causes
- The app install setting changed to Store only
- A work or school policy
- A Windows S mode device
How to fix it
- Open Settings > Apps > Advanced app settings > Choose where to get apps and pick a less strict option.
- If the option is greyed out, the device is in S mode or managed: leave S mode through the Store, or ask IT.
- Only install the app from the vendor's own site and check the signature before you run it.
