What it means
The graphics card stopped responding and Windows could not reset its driver.
Common causes
- A broken or mixed graphics driver install
- GPU overclock or too much heat
- Weak power supply
How to fix it
- Do a clean graphics driver install: remove the old one with DDU in Safe Mode, then install the latest.
- Undo any GPU overclock (MSI Afterburner: reset to default).
- Check GPU temperatures under load with HWiNFO; clean dust if it goes above 85 °C.
- Make sure the GPU power cables are firmly seated and not daisy-chained from one cable.
