ERROR_SERVICE_DISABLED

What it means

The service is set to Disabled, so Windows will not start it even when another program asks.

Common causes

• A tweak or debloat tool disabled it
• Group Policy sets it to disabled
• The service is not needed on this PC

How to fix it

1. Open services.msc, find the service and set Startup type back to Manual or Automatic.
2. Check gpedit.msc if the setting returns after a restart.
3. Do not enable services you do not recognise just to clear an error.
4. Restart and check whether the program works.
